A Church Funeral Policy?

Did you guys happen to see the story where the church reneged on hosting a funeral upon finding out the deceased was homosexual?

(Cross him off then.)

I blogged about it, but in this venue wanted to communicate the need for policy.

Who's funerals you would ...

1. perform?

2. permit in your church facilities?

What about a homosexual? What about a Muslim? What about the rank & file heathen? What about a death row inmate? What about a Mormon or Jehovah's Witness? What about a person of a different denomination?

What a platform to preach God's grace! I was at a funeral for a family member were the departed was of another faith but the parents were Christians. The minister preached out of the Old Testament and never mentioned Christ. I thought it was such a missed opportunity. If the people want to use your church, I'd say ALL may come, but they are getting Christ!

Yeah, read your original post on them wanting to "highlight" that fact. Makes things a little more complicated...

I think that instead of just canceling the service all to together that the church should have just edited the video.
